Again we spent another great day up at Jordanelle. Thanks to the grandpa with the super cold airconditioned 5th wheel and the boat. Even though I give my dad a hard time about his boat being too big and too slow compared to others he's owned in the past, it is plenty fast for little people. I was told by my Dr. to avoid 4wheeling in my neighborhood and the boat. (It's fun when you have neighbors that love you enough to turn in your naughty habbits to their coworkers.) I have obeyed about the 4wheeler, but just couldn't with the boat. However, it's not like I tried to waterski or tube, I was just along for the ride. Being 36 weeks pregnant, it felt great to float in the water. It's also impossible to get the Shern 4 to all look at the camera at the same time. The funniest part of the weekend was when David fell asleep while being pulled behind the boat. Again, maybe if the boat was a bit faster????? We ended the weekend cheering for our wonderful nephew Brandon at his soccer tournament in Layton. His team won!!! That makes for an awesome Pioneer Day Bash!!!

David and Kaiser
I should have posted this last week, but whatever. David is obsessed with shoes, he loves Lydia's the most but just had to try on Daddy's fishing boots. Cecil's been home almost a month and still my living room has signs of fishing gear lingering around. Just can't quite get around to putting it away. And you'd think we don't have a dog. So here's a few of Kaiser, as much as the dog drives me crazy there are a few things to know about him.
1. Technically he's our first born (practice kid that prepped us for parent hood) ha ha.
2. He can be fun to snuggle with
3. If you ever drop something off at my house while I'm gone, make sure to leave whatever it is in the pantry, the counter is too easy for him to get to
4. As much as I want to kill him or turn him over to another owner, he always loves me
5. He played a big part in our homes rennovation, tile floors, hardwood, french doors
6. Labs really are the best dog for kids, he will take whatever the kids do to him in stride
7. I believe his bark would scare any robber more than any gun!

Fire on the Lake
On Saturday Jordanelle hosted it's 2nd Fire on the Lake. The firework show was incredible and we had lots of fun with the family. There was also a huge wakeboard/airchair competiton, music, and good food. I believe this has definately become a Shern Tradition. It's kind of nice to get a firework show between the 4th and 24th. Utah celebrates Pioneer Day on the 24, for my friends not from Utah. We had lots of fun with Aunt Melody and Pia and Uncles Jeff, Larry and Charlie. Some of us stayed on the shore for the fireworks and some went out on the lake in Grandpa's boat!!!

Happy 4th Of July!! The celebrations began the night before with Lydia, Dad, and Grandpa camping and fishing at Jordanelle. This is where Lydia caught her first fish!!! Still waiting on grandpa for pictures. Then we had some fun in the sun at our neighbors water bounce house, the one that's for sale at Costco. That was basically what all the adults commented on. "Is that the one from Costco?" Then around 7:30 p.m. we decided to head over to Jordan High School to watch the fireworks on the reccomendation of a new friend. The kids had a blast and by the end of the show, they too were done. We had a great day, but also kept in mind all those serving this wonderful country so that we may have the freedom to live the way we choose. To my dad and father in law, thank you for your many years of service defending our great country. God Bless America!!
