We are two of a kind

On April 14, Lydia had a minor accident and busted her lip. Yes, she is accident prone like her mom. Our neighbor Bruce is a P.A. and Lydia was adament that he check her lip. Luckily she was fine, but not thrilled about the appearance of her face. Yes, she is also a little vain. I reasoned with her that we would match. Mommy had a mole on her lip that was going to get removed on the 17. My Surgeon was awesome, but it required a little more work than what was originally planned and a total of 30 stiches. I just had the final stiches removed on the 29. But there is nothing better than having a best little buddy with a matching lip.

Lydia's First Sleepover

This happened about a month ago. I've been lazy at potty training Lydia. She's been "trained" for a year and half, except for night. I just used a pullup as a crutch. My friend's little girl Jillian is a doll. Her mom had the great idea of using the big girls get to have sleepover technique. And it worked! So, I thought I'd post a picture of the fun night. I'm sure years from now Lydia will be mortified that this was even on my blog. Oh well, it's my life and the only successful journal I've kept.

To stay or go?

I've been pestering Cecil about moving off and on for a year now. But when it came right down to it, we love our neighborhood and have decided to stay. With that comes a few modifications to the house. Our Theatre Room. Cecil and our friend Grant did a wonderful job. I forgot to take a picture of the initial demo, but it's turned out great and I can't wait for the theatre seats in the not so distant future.

Little Babies

Anyone that knows my kids, is aware that they can fall asleep anywhere. One morning I panicked when Lydia was not in her bed. Never fear, she opted to sleep with Michael Joseph. David decided to crash in the kitchen, notice the granola bar in his hand and the obedient dog waiting for him to drop it. After 20 minutes Kaiser gave up and left. I'm just impressed he didn't take it.

Friends having fun!

More pictures from Frank's party. To know Frank and Judy is one of the highlights of my life, they have been so loving and supportive of our family. Judy was born in Denmark, Frank in Cuba, and they are the hardest working people I know living the American Dream. Again, Happy Birthday Frank, and Judy you pulled off one of the biggest surprises of his life. Way to go!!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Frank!

Way to throw an awesome birthday party Aunt Judy! Uncle Frank was so surprised. Family and friends flew in from across the nation. It was an amazing evening and we were able to meet his new partners he works with. I realized at this party what a wonderful neighborhood we live in. People kept telling me how awesome it was that we are all such close friends and how they wish they lived somewhere like it. We are blessed to be a part of the Gonzalez Family, they are such wonderful friends and we love them. They also know how to throw an awesome Bash!!!

Kitchen Counters=Great Time

It's amazing how much time and how many pictures we have with my lovely granite counter in the background. Hands down replacing our old counters 4 years ago was one of the best things we did to improve our home. And still every day I love how easy it is to clean them. The kids enjoy making cookies and the frequent tea parties. Michael loves to chill in his Bumbo!

All in one day!

One of the constant struggles I have with Lydia is her need to change outfits every hour. We have come to a mutual agreement that she may change as much as she likes, as long as she returns the previous outfit to it's hanger or drawers. It works most of the time. When it doesn't those clothes go to the trash. The first time was to the garbage to prove a point to her. Now I stash the garments in a bag for donation. She has lost some cute outfits, but it's the only way I feel I can win the battle. For those who think why not just say no. I don't want to stifle her creative fashion sense, and also, it's not worth the fight. But it's amazing that changing clothes so often can make her fall asleep in Michael's carseat.

Computer Trials

Well, after much service from Jeff and Clint, I give up on my desktop. Not quite sure what the issue is, but I'm so over it. Thank goodness for Cecil's laptop. It's a beautiful snowy day here in Sandy and last night was the first night since Michael was born that all three kids went to bed (and stayed) when we put them there. What a great thing. I was able to purchase our airline tickets to my Best Friends Wedding in October, started a load of laundry, and watched my reality t.v. shows uninterupted. Cecil and I had a fun date night last night. If you live in Utah, you must go to Carvers, it was so yummy, then we went to Men's Wearhouse to purchase some new shirts and ties, and finished up the night out at Barnes and Noble. Again I was in the "self improvement" section as I'm always second guessing the way I parent. Overall a great night. And looking out the window this morning, to me there is nothing more beautiful then fresh snow. xoxoxo
