Nutmeg
To our dear friend Uncle Tom: We love you and the joy that Nutmeg brought into our lives these past 14 years. She was the sweetest animal and a mother to many. She managed to teach Lily the pug to think she was a retriever. She would rescue mice from the mouse trap and try to nurse them back to health. And Lydia being the first of many little people she guarded faithfully. She also endured torment from Kaiser and allowed David to ride her like a horse.
Easter Morning
Aside from being a spiritual day, when you have little people in your home, the "Easter Bunny" makes a visit. Michael Joseph chose to sleep through the morning festivities. And in my usual documentary style, I forgot to take a picture of the kids all dolled up. But, I know Aunt Judy has some and I'll post that picture soon.
Easter 2010
I took on Easter as my holiday to host. Last year, I lent the house out to friends and avoided doing anything since I was pregnant and barely coping with my first two. This year we were back on track. We had a nice turnout of 30 people. And our neighbors let us use their patch of grass, since our yard was still under wet snow for the hunt of eggs. A lovely time was had by all.
More changes to the House
I always forget about the before pictures, but the kids rooms are odd. There were counters under the windows and a crazy cubby in David's room. So, Grant to the rescue, moved a walland shortened the closet so that a bed can actually fit in the space, and took the counters out so furniture can be tucked away providing more playroom for my little people. It's nice to have the train table out of my bedroom. Eventually Michael will move into David's room. But for now, Lydia is happy to share.
