To our dear friend Uncle Tom: We love you and the joy that Nutmeg brought into our lives these past 14 years. She was the sweetest animal and a mother to many. She managed to teach Lily the pug to think she was a retriever. She would rescue mice from the mouse trap and try to nurse them back to health. And Lydia being the first of many little people she guarded faithfully. She also endured torment from Kaiser and allowed David to ride her like a horse.She was a faithful companion and we believe she is taking care of other animals in Heaven.

I actually met that dog! Sounds like he lived a long, full life. It's sad to see the good ones go.
