Autumn Beauty

Let's face it Utah is not known for it's Fall Folage (sp?) However it is still breathtaking and I have a fondness for the Aspens that surround us. So here are a few scenic pics of the trees in Utah. For my friends back east, feast your eyes on this!

Recreation Nation

As summer is officially over we need to get the most out of our 4 wheelers! We went up to Wasatch State Park with my parents and the kids. It was so much fun. The lesson I learned is Lydia falls asleep on the 4 wheeler after a few hours. I tried to put her in front of me, but I'm so short or she's so tall I couldn't see. So, I put her on the back and held on to her with one hand and drove really slow. Still it was fun and Michael Joseph will love it next year when he can participate instead of hanging out in the playpen with whoever is left behind. I've also decided to take self portaits of myself otherwise there will be no pictures of me at all. And with three kids I can no longer make fun of women who wear their hair in a ponytail. It really is easy and keeps it out of your face. I'll aim for a goal to get a picture of me with my kids without the mom do. Ha ha ha!

Circus

Yippee, at 33 I finally went to the Circus! It was lots of fun. Thanks mom for babysitting little Michael Joseph. The kids loved it. An hour before the show, the floor is open for the public to meet and take pictures with the performers. The motorcycles were incredible, they fit five of these guys/gals in a steel globe. We had a great time and will definately go when they come to town again.

CiCi Chirstina's Kitchen

So CiCi is from a beautiful Sicilian American heritage of fine dining. Her family owns a beautiful restaurant in Vista California (Felicia's Italian Restaurant) fine dining at it's best. If you're in the San Diego area stop by and experience real Sicilian/Italian food. Anyway, not only did she move to the coldest place possible to marry my sweet cousin Dan, she left all her family. Food is a huge part of family gatherings and Dan gave her the kitchen of her dreams, is it not beautiful? I had lots of fun shopping with them here in Salt Lake for their Appliances, Gygi is her favorite place now where she can find a lot of what is easily available in San Diego.

Yellowstone

Cecil had never been to Yellowstone, and I've only been twice. So we loaded the kids in the car and did the "tourist" thing. David was having a great time with his friend Holden's hat. And Lydia tried taking some pictures too. Many Asian visitors kept taking the kids pictures, I'm not sure if it was the blonde hair or Lydia's glasses or both, whatever works.

Family Fun

We decided to head up to Jackson to visit my family. I always love going there. Fortunately I have lots of family to lodge with when we visit. The first night was wonderful as my cousin's wife made us her Sicilian Sauce, love that girl. Yummy is all I can say. The next night we went to my other cousins place for a traditional BBQ. Michael Joseph really wanted to have a drink with everyone too!

Bridal Shower

Amy and I have been best buds since we were 4, nevermind the fact we only lived across the street from each other for a few years. I am fortunate to be the Matron of Honor at her wedding in Augusta, Georgia this October. When I recieved the invite for the shower I thought how fun it would be to surprise her. Thanks to my wonderful husband and awesome dad the trip happened. I left Friday afternoon and returned Sunday afternoon. Not only did I surprise Amy, but her mom Miss Mary Lou drove down from Maryland the day before and I got to surprise her too. It was a fast 48 hours but so much fun! She has a wonderful family and is also getting a wonderful one as well. Her sweet Mother-n-law to be Lisa is the most gracious person I've met and was so sweet to help me get to and from and I was able to spend a lot of time with her. Can't wait for the big day in a month!! She also has many nieces, but this little cutie pie has an important job, she is the Flower Girl! Both Mary Lou and I agree Amy has a wonderful support system and friends there in Augusta, Georgia. I also learned at the shower that "It's a Southern Thang" goes a long way. In another post I'll have to describe a pastry and the stories the ladies shared. Too funny, for now Michael Joseph wants his mama!

Happy Birthday Bree!

Another fun b-day! The girls went to Tsunmai for dinner and then back to the house to celebrate with a Strawberry Shortcake Icecream Cake from Leatherbees!!!

First day of School

Lydia and Megan on their first day of school! I forgot to take pictures last year. Oooops

Labor Day 2010

Of course we were at Jordanelle our little family of 5 (6 if you count Kaiser). We never actually made it to the boat, but we had lots of fun at the park, roasting marshmellows, and riding bikes. Lydia has some strong little legs, how she keeps up I don't know.

My kids are cute!

Yes, everyone says that about their children. I've always said Lydia will not do gymnastics, but the kid has to be a natural who does front flips and back flips when they're 4? She also has a thing with the camera. Always striking a pose! And David likes it too!
