Bridal Shower

Amy and I have been best buds since we were 4, nevermind the fact we only lived across the street from each other for a few years. I am fortunate to be the Matron of Honor at her wedding in Augusta, Georgia this October. When I recieved the invite for the shower I thought how fun it would be to surprise her. Thanks to my wonderful husband and awesome dad the trip happened. I left Friday afternoon and returned Sunday afternoon. Not only did I surprise Amy, but her mom Miss Mary Lou drove down from Maryland the day before and I got to surprise her too. It was a fast 48 hours but so much fun! She has a wonderful family and is also getting a wonderful one as well. Her sweet Mother-n-law to be Lisa is the most gracious person I've met and was so sweet to help me get to and from and I was able to spend a lot of time with her. Can't wait for the big day in a month!! She also has many nieces, but this little cutie pie has an important job, she is the Flower Girl! Both Mary Lou and I agree Amy has a wonderful support system and friends there in Augusta, Georgia. I also learned at the shower that "It's a Southern Thang" goes a long way. In another post I'll have to describe a pastry and the stories the ladies shared. Too funny, for now Michael Joseph wants his mama!

Seriously, there is no better friend in the world than you. Mom and I still are completely ---
So surreal!
I'm super glad Cecil (and Lydia, David and Michael) could spare you. Tell him that he'll have plenty of Roberts to choose from to play golf with... :-)
Give your dad the biggest hug from me.
I love your guts!!
